Instructions for the day of the procedure LASIK and LASEK

Eat a normal meal before your appointment--no alcohol.

Arrange for a driver to bring you to and from the laser appointment.

Wear loose, casual clothing.

The Excimer laser is extremely sensitive to chemical vapors. The following
guidelines must be followed by all occupants of the laser suite, including
patients, family members, staff members, and anyone else present:

NO hairspray, including scented mousse or gel

NO perfumes, cologne, or scented body lotions

In addition, laser vision correction patients must abide by the following:

NO eye make-up on either eye (due to the high microbial content of
mascara and other beauty products, it is crucial that the region
surrounding the eye be completely fee of all cosmetics)

NO face make-up including blush and scented facial creams

NO earrings or facial jewelry

Bring the following items with you:

The medications prescribed by your doctor.

A copy of your post-procedural instructions.

A pair of sunglasses.

One of the three following methods of payment:

Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover

A signed loan document from the Vision Financing Plan (TM)

An insurance pre-approval agreement

Plan to arrive at the center 45 minutes prior to your schedule procedure.

Expect to be at Pfoff Eye & Laser approximately 60-90 minutes.
